Our Story

i-Virtual was born from deep academic research and a commitment to human-centered innovation. Our journey began in 2010 at the University of Lorraine, France, where we pioneered the use of rPPG technology to assess the emotional state of individuals with physical and mental impairments.

As demand for seamless health insights grew, we transformed our innovation into an API-driven solution, enabling industries such as wellness, consumer health, and insurance to integrate human metrics effortlessly.

Backed by €6M in funding and driven by an expert team—including PhDs, medical professionals, and industry specialists—we continue to push the boundaries of image processing technology, making human-centered data more accessible, accurate, and actionable.

Meet the i-Virtual Team

Behind i-Virtual is a diverse and experienced group of innovators, scientists, and industry leaders who share a bold vision: to make human-centered data accessible and actionable for everyone, everywhere. 

Our core team brings together experts in AI, software development, signal processing, and business strategy. This includes five PhDs, a medical doctor, and professionals with deep experience in scaling technology products across wellness, insurance, and SaaS markets. 

Leads i-Virtual with a focus on international development. Building on his PhD in AI, the acquisition of his first computer vision startup Keeneo, and his 10 years tenure in the VC space, he brings a unique blend of tech expertise and finance acumen to drive growth and scale deep-tech innovation.
